Late 19th Century English Georgian Style Mahogany Chest of Drawers
A fine example of classic English cabinetry, this Georgian-style chest of drawers was crafted in England circa late 1800s. Constructed from rich mahogany woods, its elegant design is highlighted by detailed inlay patterns bordering each drawer front, showcasing the period’s attention to detail. The practical configuration features three smaller drawers set above three long, graduated drawers, providing ample storage. The chest is finished with decorative brass hardware and stands on handsome bracket feet. This antique piece presents beautifully. Please note, one brass handle is a well-matched, non-original replacement and differs slightly upon close inspection. A key is included; however, given the chest’s age, use of the original lock mechanism is not recommended.
